1. Agreement to these terms
Lis's Luxury Car Detailing is a trade name of Lis's Company LLC, a Washington limited liability company based in Seattle, Washington (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms apply to our website, to every appointment you book with us online, by phone, by text, by WhatsApp or in person, and to the services we perform.
By booking an appointment, requesting a quote or allowing us to work on a vehicle, you (“you,” “the customer”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not book or use our services.
2. Who may book
To book a service you must:
- be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement;
- own the vehicle, or have the owner’s permission to authorize detailing work on it (for example, a leased, company or family vehicle); and
- have the right to let us work at the service location you give us.
When you book for a vehicle you do not own, you confirm that you have that permission and that you will share these Terms with the owner.
3. Our services and pricing
We describe each package and add-on, what it includes and its price by vehicle size on our website. Descriptions and photos show typical results; actual results depend on the age, condition and materials of each vehicle.
Vehicle size
Prices depend on the vehicle category you select (for example, sedan, mid-size SUV, or truck/van/3-row). If the vehicle on site belongs to a different category, we will tell you the correct price before we start.
Condition surcharges
Our prices assume a vehicle in normal everyday condition. Extra time and materials may be needed for excessive pet hair, heavy staining, sand, mud, mold, smoke or odor treatment, spilled liquids, insect infestation or biohazards (such as bodily fluids or vomit). In those cases we will explain the additional charge and ask for your approval before doing the extra work. If you decline, we will perform the service as booked to the extent the condition allows.
Estimates and durations
Quoted times (for example, “1-2 hours”) are estimates. A job can take longer depending on the vehicle’s condition, weather and site conditions. Arrival times are given as an arrival window.
Changes to prices
We may change our prices and packages at any time. The price confirmed for your appointment applies to that appointment.
4. Booking and confirmation
Submitting a booking on our website is a request. Your appointment is confirmed when we confirm it to you by text, call or email. We may decline or reschedule a request, for example when a time slot is no longer available, the address is outside our service area, or the vehicle or location is not suitable for the requested work.
Please make sure your contact details, address and vehicle information are accurate. We are not responsible for delays or missed appointments caused by incorrect information.
5. Your responsibilities
To let us do the job well and safely, you agree to:
- Provide access to the vehicle at the appointment time, including keys or a way to unlock it, and any gate code, parking pass or building instructions.
- Confirm the location allows the work. You are responsible for obtaining any permission needed from a property owner, landlord, homeowners’ association or parking operator. We may decline to work where the rules prohibit it or where it is unsafe.
- Water and power. If you tell us that water or electricity is available at the location, it should be in working order and reachable from the vehicle. Our van carries its own supply; if you said they would be available and they are not, the service may be shortened or rescheduled.
- Remove personal belongings and valuables (cash, jewelry, electronics, documents, child seats if you want them cleaned around) before we arrive.
- Tell us about known conditions before we start: paint damage, repaints, wraps or paint protection film, aftermarket parts, loose trim, leaks, electrical problems, warning lights or anything else that could be affected by cleaning.
- Keep children and pets at a safe distance from our equipment while we work.
- Park the vehicle legally. We are not responsible for parking tickets or towing related to where the vehicle is parked.
6. Weather and rescheduling
We work outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. Rain, snow, ice, high wind, extreme temperatures or poor air quality can affect safety and the quality of some services, especially exterior work, polishing and coatings. If we decide conditions are not suitable, we will contact you to reschedule at no charge, or offer to complete only the parts of the service that conditions allow.
7. Cancellations and no-shows
- You may cancel or reschedule free of charge by contacting us at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- For cancellations with less than 24hours’ notice, or if we arrive and cannot access the vehicle or the location (a “no-show”), we may charge a fee of up to $50 to cover our travel and the reserved time. We will tell you before the fee is charged.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will tell you as early as we can. You owe nothing for an appointment we cancel.
8. Payment and taxes
- No deposit is required to book. Payment is due when the service is completed, after you have had the chance to inspect the vehicle.
- We accept the payment methods we tell you about when you book or on site. Card payments are handled by the card processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Washington State and local sales tax is charged where the law requires it. Detailing and washing of motor vehicles are retail services that are generally subject to Washington retail sales tax. Your receipt shows any tax charged.
- Amounts that remain unpaid after the service may be referred for collection, and we may decline future bookings until the balance is paid.
9. Satisfaction guarantee
We want you to be happy with the result. If something is not right, tell us and we will make it right.
- Please inspect the vehicle with us when we finish. If you notice an area we missed or that does not meet the standard of the package you booked, tell us before we leave, or within 48 hours of completion by text, call or email, with photos if possible.
- Our remedy is to return and correct the area at no charge. If we cannot correct it, we will offer a partial or full refund of the price of the affected service, at our reasonable discretion.
- The guarantee covers our workmanship. It does not cover the limitations described in the next section, new dirt or damage after we leave, or a change of mind about the package chosen.
10. Vehicle condition and limitations
Before we start, we may walk around the vehicle with you and take photos to record its condition. Detailing improves appearance; it cannot reverse wear or damage. In particular:
- Pre-existing damage. Scratches, chips, dents, curb rash, cracked glass, failing or oxidized clear coat, faded or brittle trim and torn upholstery are not caused by detailing and may become more visible once the vehicle is clean.
- Stains and odors. Some stains are permanent and some odors return after treatment, depending on their source and how long they have been there. We will do our best but cannot guarantee complete removal.
- Paint correction. Polishing removes a thin layer of clear coat. Deep scratches that reach the base coat or primer cannot be polished out. Repainted panels, single-stage paint and thin clear coat carry a higher risk; we may limit or skip work on them.
- Wraps, paint protection film, decals and aftermarket finishes may lift, stain or react to products. We work on them with care but are not responsible for film or finishes that were already loose, damaged or improperly installed.
- Loose or worn parts. Trim, emblems, mirrors, wipers, antennas, weather seals and similar parts that were loose, brittle or damaged may come off or fail during normal cleaning.
- Water and electronics. We use steam and controlled amounts of water. Vehicles with failed seals, previous water leaks or electrical faults can be affected by normal cleaning; please tell us about any known issues in advance.
- Engine bay detailing is performed with the engine cool and sensitive components protected. We are not responsible for pre-existing mechanical or electrical problems.
11. Ceramic coatings and protection products
- Coatings, sealants, waxes and glass treatments are designed to last for the period stated by their manufacturer under normal conditions and proper maintenance. A stated duration (for example, “9-year”) is the product rating, not a promise that the vehicle will look new for that time.
- Durability depends on care, weather, road salt, parking conditions and washing methods. Automatic car washes, harsh chemicals and abrasive tools shorten it.
- Ceramic coatings need time to cure. Please do not wash the vehicle for 7 days and avoid parking under trees, sprinklers or in heavy rain for the first 24 hours where possible. We will give you care instructions after the service.
- Coatings resist contaminants and make cleaning easier; they do not make the vehicle scratch-proof, chip-proof or maintenance-free.
- Any product warranty is provided by the product manufacturer on its own terms, which we will share with you on request. Following the care instructions is usually a condition of that warranty.
12. Damage claims
We take great care with every vehicle. If you believe we caused damage during the service:
- Report it before we leave, or within 48 hours of completion, with a description and photos. Prompt reporting lets us compare the vehicle with the condition recorded before the service.
- Allow us to inspect the vehicle before any repair is made, except in an emergency.
- If we are responsible, we will choose, in good faith, to repair the damage, have it repaired by a qualified shop, or reimburse the reasonable cost of repair.
We are not responsible for damage resulting from the conditions listed in the “Vehicle condition and limitations” section, from information you did not give us, or from events after we leave.
13. Personal belongings
Please remove valuables before your appointment. We handle items left in the vehicle with care and may move them to clean, but we are not responsible for loss of or damage to cash, jewelry, electronics or other personal property left in the vehicle, except where caused by our negligence. Trash and clearly disposable items may be thrown away; anything we are unsure about stays in the vehicle.
14. Photos of your vehicle
We may photograph or film the vehicle before, during and after the service to record its condition and our work. We may also use photos of the vehicle in our portfolio, on our website and on social media, without your name, address or other personal details, and with license plates removed, covered or blurred.
If you do not want photos of your vehicle used for marketing, tell us at any time and we will not use them, and will remove any already published from channels we control. Photos kept only to record the vehicle’s condition are retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Calls, texts and emails
When you give us your phone number and email, you agree that we may contact you by call, text message (SMS) or email about your booking, quote or service: confirmations, reminders, arrival updates, follow-ups and receipts. These are service messages, not marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with your bookings.
We send promotional texts only if you separately agree to receive them, and you never need to agree in order to book. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email.
16. Safety and right to refuse service
We may decline to start, or stop, a service if we reasonably believe that the work would be unsafe for our team or others, the vehicle contains hazardous materials, weapons or biohazards we are not equipped to handle, the location is unsafe or unlawful to work in, or anyone at the location is abusive or threatening. If we stop for one of these reasons, you pay only for work already completed.
17. Use of our website
- You agree not to misuse the website: no false bookings, no attempts to gain access to systems or data you are not authorized to use, no scraping or automated requests that burden the site, and no use that violates the law.
- The website content, including text, photos, logos and design, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without our permission.
- The website links to services run by others, such as Google Maps and WhatsApp. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
- We aim to keep the website accurate and available but do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Prices and availability shown are subject to confirmation.
18. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Except for the satisfaction guarantee and the commitments stated in these Terms, our services and website are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, such as loss of use of the vehicle, rental costs, lost time or lost income. Except for damage covered under “Damage claims,” our total liability arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Washington law, including liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or your rights under the Washington Consumer Protection Act (RCW 19.86).
19. Your promise to us
You agree to be responsible for, and to reimburse us for reasonable costs arising from, claims by third parties caused by information you gave us that was false, such as booking work on a vehicle or at a location without the right to do so.
20. Resolving disputes and governing law
- Talk to us first. Most concerns can be solved quickly. Before starting any formal claim, please contact us and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.
- Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Where disputes are heard. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.
21. General terms
- Changes. We may update these Terms. The version in effect when you book applies to that appointment; the date at the top shows the latest update.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. Not enforcing a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, any written quote or confirmation for your appointment and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about our services. If a written quote or confirmation conflicts with these Terms, the quote or confirmation controls for that appointment.
- Events outside our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, road closures, power outages or emergencies.
